Le Ship was created more than 10 years ago by the charismatic Viviane Caillot, an experienced sailor herself, who arrived in the Caribbean with her family on a yacht. Besides being very friendly and perfectly bilingual, every one of the female staff of Le Ship, including Julie, Viviane’s daughter, used to be professional crewmembers. Therefore, they really understand the crews’ requirements and best of all, are always willing to help and make the crews’ life in Martinique as easy and enjoyable as possible.
They carry a large range of goods, including brands such as Lofran, MPI (carrying Brake anchors, which they have in stock from 12 to 27 kg), Spinlock, Wichard, Plastimo, spare parts, lines, and maintenance products such as environment friendly Matt Chem, safety gear, table ware, marine decoration… they also sell inflatable and semi rigid tenders.
They are Imray charts dealers and have more than 3000 references in stock. Very honest and straightforward, they will always try to find the best solution to any request and won’t hesitate to try to source a product if necessary. They can have special orders coming from France within 3 days.
Indeed, these ladies are so popular, that many crews now stop by for any question, advice or requirement they might have during their stay in Martinique. Superyacht crew can open an account in the shop and pay at the end of their stay. They also offer discounts for professional crews. The shop is open Mondays to Saturdays from 0830-1230 and1400-1800hrs, plus on Sunday mornings from 0900-1300hrs.
