There are many great walking and hiking options around Antibes. Take the time to explore the lovely old town, and don’t miss the Château Grimaldi, the church of Immaculée Conception or the Commune Libre du Safranier with its flowery narrow streets.

Cap d’Antibes

Coastal path of Tirepoil: Gorgeous 2km hike around Cap d’Antibes peninsula, starting at Plage La Garoupe. Come back through the street of Cap d’Antibes and its luxurious mansions.

Chemin du Calevaire: Narrow 1 km long stoned path starting after Plage de Salis and going up through a wooded area to La Garoupe Hill. On top of the hill is the Sanctuary de la Garoupe, with a monastery and several delightful fishermen’s chapels. Nearby is the Garoupe light house and the views from this whole site are absolutely spectacular. It is also possible to drive up there.

Jardin Thuret in Cap d’Antibes, is a 3.5 acre botanical park with a remarkable variety of trees and plants. Free access, closed Sat-Sun.

Biot and Valbonne

Circuit de la Brague: Lovely and shady path linking Biot to Valbonne (a few km above Antibes). It is a leisurely 19km round trip hike, following La Brague river banks, with small cascading waterfalls and stone bridges.  If you don’t want to walk back, buses run regularly between both towns.
