What was once a rather decrepit but romantic left over from the Italian occupation, the springs at Kalithea had a revamp a few years ago.
The surrounding architecture and gardens have been completely renovated-and yes some may even argue that they have been spoilt!
But faded grandure can only be faded for a certain amount of time until it turns into an eyesore!
It is now back to its former glory, but is now more of a chic beach club with bars, cafes, lounging areas and laid back music.
They also use the internal circular loggia for changing exhibitions.
Small and quaint coffee room, serving coffees, teas, breakfast baked goods, bagels, soups, sandwiches and pastries. Lovely and homely décor. Open daily from 6:30 week days or 7 weekends to 3pm.

Close to Port Andratx, the CCA art center and gallery boasts a wonderful café/restaurant. The interior courtyard is the venue for many concerts and flamenco performances. Conferences and weddings are also catered for.
The French Coffee Shop is a popular place for breakfast and lunch, and is well known for its home cooked patisseries, croissants and pies. Close to Puerto Portals, it is convenient for any boats wanting a take away service. They also do private catering, and have an equipment rental service for cutlery and glassware.
A rather special café/restaurant with a classy interior. Not somewhere you will find many tourists-more suits and business lunches,
but a very nice place lunch or coffee and patisseries.
Sophisticated sandwich shop-the little sister to Restaurant Vinic.
They pride themselves on being eco friendly and using sustainable local produce.
Probably the best sandwiches you will ever taste, and a great wine selection served by the glass-super sandwiches!
One of the bars on the ‘must do’ list for Barcelona. The décor is old fashioned, its on La Ramblas, convenient stopping off point to watch the crowds go by. Apparently they do the best churros and hot chocolate!
